# Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about Visita.

## Getting Started

<Accordion title="How do I find my ward?">
  Visit `visita.co.za/ward` and either:

  * Allow location access for automatic detection
  * Enter your address in the search bar

  Your ward code appears in the URL (e.g., `/ward/79700026`).

<Accordion title="Do I need an account to use Visita?">
  **Browsing:** No account needed. View ward info, directory, and public data freely.

  **Participating:** You need an account to:

  * Report issues
  * Vote on decisions
  * Join projects
  * Post in discussions

<Accordion title="How do I join my ward?">
  1. Create an account at `visita.co.za/auth/sign-up`
  2. Navigate to your ward page
  3. Click "Join Ward"

  You can only be a member of one ward at a time (changeable every 72 hours).

## Reporting Issues

<Accordion title="What happens after I report an issue?">
  1. Your report appears in the ward's Community feed
  2. Neighbors can upvote ("Me Too") your report
  3. Our AI analyzes the issue and estimates cost/responsibility
  4. When enough people support it (heat ≥ 10), a resolution poll is created
  5. Community votes on how to fix it

<Accordion title="Can I report issues anonymously?">
  Your name is visible to other ward members, but personal contact details are private.

  We don't share your information with third parties.

<Accordion title="Why was my report not approved?">
  Reports may be moderated if they:

  * Contain personal attacks or hate speech
  * Are not civic issues (personal disputes)
  * Are duplicates of existing reports
  * Lack sufficient detail or location

## Voting & Governance

<Accordion title="Who can vote on ward decisions?">
  Only verified members of that ward can vote. You must:

  * Have a Visita account
  * Be a member of the ward (joined via "Join Ward")

  Each person gets one vote per poll.

<Accordion title="What happens if not enough people vote?">
  Polls require a minimum number of votes (quorum) within 48 hours. If quorum isn't met, the default option is selected (usually "Log with Municipality").

## For Sellers

<Accordion title="How do I start selling on Visita?">
  1. Create an account
  2. Go to `visita.co.za/seller/onboarding`
  3. Set up your store and add products

  Go to `visita.co.za/account/settings` → Privacy & Security → "Delete Account"

  This permanently removes your profile and activity. It cannot be undone.

## Technical

  1. Refresh the page
  2. Clear your browser cache
  3. Try a different browser
  4. Check your internet connection
