# Ward Page Overview

Your ward page at `visita.co.za/ward/[code]` is the central hub for everything happening in your neighborhood.

## Finding Your Ward

    Enter your address in the search bar to find your ward

    Click "Join Ward" to set this as your home ward

  Your **Home Ward** is where you can post, vote, and fully participate. You can switch home ward once every 72 hours.

## Ward Page Tabs

Your ward page has 8 tabs, each serving a different purpose:

| Tab             | Purpose                       | Key Actions                              |

| **Overview**    | Quick stats and summary       | View safety score, weather, demographics |
| **Community**   | Live activity feed            | Report issues, see neighbor posts        |
| **Projects**    | Local improvement initiatives | Propose, pledge, join projects           |
| **Governance**  | Democratic participation      | Vote on decisions, track councillor      |
| **Marketplace** | Local commerce                | Browse products from ward businesses     |
| **Discussions** | Long-form deliberation        | Debate policies, discuss issues          |
| **Elections**   | Political information         | View councillor, party info              |
| **Ledger**      | Civic action history          | See all verified actions in the ward     |

## Overview Tab

### Ward Treasury

The **Ward Treasury Card** displays the unallocated "Community Fund".

* **Community Fund:** Money available for local projects.
* **Governance Locked:** Funds cannot be withdrawn by individuals. Spending requires a winning **Governance Proposal**.

## Community Tab (The Town Square)

This is where the action happens:

* **Report Issues** — Potholes, broken lights, blocked drains
* **See Activity** — What neighbors are reporting
* **Upvote Important Issues** — Help urgent problems rise to the top

  Issues with high "heat" (many upvotes) automatically get resolution polls
</Tip>

## Projects Tab

Community-driven improvements:

* **Proposed** — Ideas waiting for support
* **Active** — Projects in progress
* **Completed** — Finished with proof

## Governance Tab

Your democratic voice:

* **Councillor Info** — Contact details and promises
* **Mandate Tracker** — Are promises being kept?
* **Ward Polls** — Vote on community decisions

## Marketplace Tab

Shop local:

* Products from ward businesses
* National delivery options
* Support local entrepreneurs

## Discussions Tab

  Discussions are for **deliberation**, not debate. Keep it civil and constructive.

Every discussion thread is linked to:

* A Signal (issue report)
* A Project
* A Governance topic
* An Event

## Ledger Tab

The **Ward Ledger** is the "Institutional Memory" — a transparent record of:

* Issues reported and resolved
* Projects completed
* Governance decisions made
* Community contributions

No likes, no vanity metrics — just verified civic action.
